Scholarship season!

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016

It’s Scholarship Season!

The time of year has arrived where students re-ally need to dig in their heels and starting applying for scholarships for the 2016-17 school year!

Here are a few tips for a successful scholarship search:

Plan to apply for scholarships 3-6 months be-fore the start of Fall Quarter.

Completed your FAFSA early, as this will help determine your financial need.

Be sure to read the instructions closely, as each scholarship has its own specific requirements.

There is a scholarship for every situation, pro-gram of study, and demographic, so think about where you fit. There are scholarships for left handed people, or even individuals who have a parent that works as a carpenter. Expand your search past the basic information.

Be prepared to put in time and effort. Re-member, this is gifted money, and it won’t be given to you without showing effort. A few hours of writing is certainly worth a few thousands dollars for school!

Apply for the Seattle Central Foundation Scholarships! It is a single application that puts you in the running for 80 scholarships!
